Save Amy's Farm
Unfortunately, the landowner has sold the land to developers and will not be renewing our lease. We are reaching out to our farm community for help….to all of you who know and love Amy’s Farm. As you may already be aware, we are tenants of the land on which Amy’s Farm operates. We have built up all that you see on the land for the past 34 years: 138 farm animals, 340 trees, 400 vegetable beds, and over 100,000 visitors a year. We have respectfully honored and cared for the land in order to provide a place of learning and healing for our community. The owner of the land has sold this 10 acres to developers. At this point in time, our lease will not be renewed. Here is what you can do to help.
- Let the city of Ontario know how important Amy’s Farm is to your community. Everyone everywhere can call Ontario City Hall and tell them “Save Amy’s Farm” (909) 395-2000
- IF you are a RESIDENT of Ontario and a registered voter, you can sign the petition to stop the rezoning of farmland to warehouse/industrial. Signatures must be in person; you can sign at Amy’s Farm anytime during business hours. We need these signatures before 5/2. Also, we can use volunteers to canvass Ontario neighborhoods for more signatures. Visit our coalition at https://ontario4agriculture.com
- Monetary donations are needed to help pay legal fees. Donate
- Any advice, help, and ideas from our dedicated supporters would be greatly appreciated as we navigate through this hardship. Please feel free to email or call our farm.
Thank you for your help.
