Early Childhood & Elementary School Tours

Elementary School Tours

Our Elementary Age Tours are appropriate for ages as young as 2 years old.  We make sure to adapt your tour to the specific needs of your group in an age-appropriate way.

Tour Activities

On our guided tour you will participate in all sorts of fun hands-on activities:

  • Garden Walk, harvest a veggie leaf or herb in our organic garden

  • Learn about cows and try your hand at milking a cow

  • Pet goats and sheep in our petting zoo.

  • Feed pigs vegetables picked from our garden.

  • Watch chickens, roosters, turkeys, geese, and ducks interact.

  • Pet horses

Enjoying the sights, sounds, smells, and touch of the farm is a complete sensory experience!

Seasonal Activities

According to the ever-changing seasons at the farm, your tour may include some of these activities also:

  • Harvesting different seasonal varieties in the garden (for instance, Indian Corn in the fall, green beans or cherry tomatoes in the spring and summer, peas in late winter.)

  • Learn about beneficial insects and go on a garden hunt

  • Experiencing the miracle of life and newborn animals on the farm

  • Petting/holding newborn chicks

  • Petting newborn goats

  • Learn about vermiculture (beneficial worms!!)

  • Feeding chickens lettuce greens

  • Taking an orchard walk and learning about our fruit trees

  • Walking the Herb Garden and experiencing a “smelling tour”

tour pricing

$10 per person ($100 minimum)

Children under 2 years of age are free. You are permitted 1 free adult per every 10 kids. Additional adults are welcome and pay $10.00.

During Pumpkin Season the tour is $12.00 per person ($10 for tour $2 for pumpkin)


tour Schedule

Tours are 1–1.5 hours depending on group size.

Weekday Tours 

We have tours starting at: 

9:00 a.m.

9:45 a.m.

10:30 a.m.

11:15 a.m.

Reservations are required.  Please choose a time slot that fits your schedule for traveling. It is difficult for us to accommodate schools that arrive too early or too late.

Saturday Tours 

We offer a 10:30 tour on select Saturdays of the month. Call for reservations and available dates.


tour Size

We allow a maximum of 4 classes per tour  (or up to 120 students).  If you need to reserve for more than 4 classes, then you will need to reserve 2 tour time slots.

We require a minimum of 10 paying guests per tour.  If your group has less than 10 guests, then we can add you on to another small group.
